Did you know... these animal facts?

I absolutely loved creating my new range of party animals, and before I started designing and creating my linocut animals I did do some research.

For example, before I started my Leopard linocut illustration I did a lot of research on the difference between Leopard spots, Jaguar spots, and Cheetah spots, just to make sure I was creating the correct spots.

So I thought why not share with you some interesting and fun animal facts that I learned while researching about Giraffes, Lions, Leopards, Tigers, and Pandas.

Did you know….

that Giraffe’s spots are as unique as a human’s fingerprint, no two giraffes have the same pattern of spots.

Did you know….

that Lion’s manes get darker the older they become, and a full dark mane is a sign of a lot of testosterone.

Did you know….

that Leopard’s spots are called rosettes, due to the shape of them being similar to that of a rose.

Did you know….

that Panda’s climb trees to get away from danger. And to help them climb they have six fingers; five forward-facing fingers and one thumb.

Did you know….

that Tigers have white spots on their ears. These spots look like eyes, giving the illusion that they are always watching.
